NCWRC hosted a luncheon to celebrate the Tuckertown Partnership (Alcoa Lands Acquisition) and those involved including two members of our DU team.
Congratulations to Emily Purcell and Will Johnson for being recognized in the Ducks Unlimited conservation efforts to acquire future duck habitat. This project will help to ensure there is land dedicated to protecting our wildlife for generations to come in Tuckertown. Great work from the DU Team!
Ducks Unlimited of North Carolina is a grassroots, volunteer-based organization. Its members are conservationists and outdoor enthusiasts who live in this great state of North Carolina.
Nationally, DU volunteers host more than 4,000 grassroots fundraising events annually, such as member and sponsor banquets, shooting and fishing tournaments, and golf outings. Event dollars represent some of DU’s most important sources of revenue. Since event dollars are typically unrestricted, DU can spend these funds in our highest priority areas and use them to leverage additional funds from other sources.
